Superintendent- Healthcare / Acute care
Seeking Jr. Superintendent and Senior Superintendent with at least 5 / 15 years of commercial construction experience in the Healthcare and Acute Care market sectors for our South Florida Region. Superintendents will work closely with all members of the project team and supervise all craft employees and will be responsible for the following:
Job Description
- Create construction schedules, perform regular updates and monitor/manage the construction progress.
- Coordinate jobsite logistics and maintain relationships with neighboring occupants.
- Negotiate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction to achieve project occupancy milestones
- Ensure that all operations on site and done in a safely to ensure a zero incident project
- Coordinate subcontractor work scopes, scheduling, and resource-loading
- Professionally represent company field operations to the subcontractors.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Four year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum, (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) or experience equivalent to a four year degree.
- Five to eight years of experience as a Superintendent Il, or ten to fifteen years Healthcare construction related experience.
- Mastery of the skills of Field Management.
- Knowledge of applicable OSHA requirements
- Proficient with personal computer based scheduling software, and specifically spreadsheet applications, proficiency in current industry related software packages.
- Demonstrated success in managing or potential to manage large, single construction projects/phases and multiple Superintendents
- Excellent listening skills and have strong communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Effective participation in team environment
- A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
